Tanning Program

The Scott County Health Department routinely inspects licensed Tanning establishments in Scott County.

 

Tanning Program

Yearly inspections of tanning facilities are made to assure all tanning equipment is in compliance with Iowa, Scott County and federal law, conditions are sanitary, records are properly kept and staff are knowledgeable about proper use of equipment.
Tanning operators are required to take a Tanning Operator Exam. 

Operators must obtain a permit for their tanning from the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing.
