I-Smile Silver is a no-cost program that helps adult Iowans find dental care. It is not a dental clinic, but links people to dental care in Scott County.

Who does I-Smile Silver help?

• Any adult in Scott County who has dental needs
• Any adult with or without dental insurance

What does I-Smile Silver do?

• Provides oral health screenings and education
• Helps find dentists who accept:
  • Iowa Medicaid
  • Medicare Advantage
  • Other insurances
  • Veterans’ programs
  • Dental Lifeline Network

Why is oral health important?

• Teeth help us to eat, speak, and smile
• Mouth health may affect overall health
• Chronic illness, such as diabetes and heart problems, can be affected by poor oral health
• Oral pain causes missed school and workdays
• Regular care can prevent oral infections
