The Family Health Program wants to hear from you! SCHD is looking for up to 16 participants to come out and share feedback on the importance of children receiving childhood vaccines.
LaBridgette Johnson, SCHD Child Health Consultant, stated, “Vaccines save lives, and we want to share this message and make better connections here in Scott County. We have set out to reach a variety of people in our community. This event will include our Black/African American families. We have partnered with the Lincoln Center which provides opportunities to youth aged 18-21 that may be vulnerable to high levels of violence and poverty. We want to talk with families at our event and offer up space to share their lived experiences.”
The event will take place on August 28th from 5 to 7 PM at The Lincoln Center (318 E 7th St, Davenport). It will be a family friendly event. Dinner, gift cards, gift bags, and children’s activities will be provided.
