Narcan Access Day

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), Iowa Board of Pharmacy and Iowa Pharmacy Association are sponsoring a statewide Narcan Access Day on June 29, 2018. Narcan is a prescription medicine that can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose and is available to anyone that is at risk of overdose or is in a position to help someone at risk of an overdose. A number of free Narcan kits will be available at over 350 pharmacies in Iowa on the day of the event. To learn more:
