Job Summary

SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Shooting Complex Attendant will assist with range operations and ensure safe operation of range by educating customers and enforcing safety rules.

Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provides direct customer service at the shooting complex with assisting customer at the point of sale.
  • Handles cash and balances cash drawers
  • Monitors the fire line for safety.
  • Answers question from the public
  • Maintains and repairs equipment needed to operate the range.
  • Performs custodial duties as needed, to include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash etc.
  • Assists in ground maintenance work which would include mowing, trimming, shoveling, and salting.
  • Demonstrates the ability to exemplify, by his/her actions, the County PRIDE philosophy.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Standards for Initial Consideration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years of age.

Knowledge of:

  • Work Safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Customer service principles, practices, and etiquette.
  • Applicable local, State, and Federal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances.


Skill in:

  • Operating a variety of tools, equipment and machinery.
  • Delivering informational presentations and tours to groups of varying size, age, and background.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Communicating effectively verbally

Supplemental Information

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a Range Safety Officer Certification, First Aid, CPR and AED certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is done throughout the gun range and requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions, potentially dangerous tools, equipment, and hazardous materials. May be required to climb ladders, lift, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
