Scott County Conference Board unanimously approved to appoint City of Davenport Deputy Assessor Tom McManus as the new Scott County Assessor effective January 1, 2016.
Scott County Administrator, Dee F. Bruemmer discussed her retirement plans with the Board of Supervisors at their last regular meeting. Ms. Bruemmer was appointed County Administrator in August of 2008 after serving 27 years as an assistant administrator in the City of Davenport. She plans to leave the County in the spring.

Moody’s Investor Services upgraded Scott County, Iowa’s general obligation credit rating from Aa2 to Aa1, the second highest rating possible. The rating upgrade will allow the County to obtain lower interest rates on bond issuances and save taxpayers money.
