The Scott County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), have concluded their investigation of the Davenport Police Department officer involved shooting that occurred on July 19, 2016, at 1610 Rockingham Rd. After reviewing the case with Scott County Attorney Mike Walton, the following criminal charges have been filed against Rodricco Radell Parks Jr. of Davenport:
*Assault on a Peace Officer with a Dangerous Weapon (Class D Felony)
*Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony)
Due to the pending trial, no further information will be released. A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. In addition to the above charges, Parks also has the following active warrants for his arrest from other cases:
*Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon
*Theft 3rd
*Interference with Official Acts
*Probation Violation (2 counts)
*Failure to Appear/Theft 5th
*Failure to Appear/Theft
