Scott County Board releases names of finalists for County Administrator

Jim Hancock, Scott County Board Chair announced that three applicants have been invited for interviews for the position of Scott County Administrator. The three candidates are Gregg Mandsager of Muscatine, IA, Mahesh Sharma of Raymore, MO and Todd Thompson of Galesburg, IL. It is anticipated that the candidates will meet the week of April 25th with staff and Board members.
Mr. Mandsager has 18 years of experience in public service. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Iowa State University and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School. He is currently the City Administrator for Muscatine, IA. He manages a staff of 224 and a budget of $58M.
Mr. Sharma has 20 years of experience in public service. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, a Masters of Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from University of Kansas. He is currently the City Administrator for Raytown, MO. He manages a staff of 224 and a budget of $30M.
Mr. Thompson has 19 years of experience in public service. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Southern Illinois University. He is currently the City Administrator for Galesburg, IL. He manages a staff of 227 and a budget of $57M.
The three candidates were selected from a national search conducted by Waters and Company which yielded a field of 36 applicants.
The opening is created by the announced retirement of Dee Bruemmer, County Administrator in December. The Board of Supervisors would like to have a successor in place by June. Additional questions can be directed to Scott County Board Chair Jim Hancock at 563-528-1887.
