Job Title: Seasonal Concession Worker

Under general supervision, the Concession Worker provides customer service in the concession areas at West Lake Park, Scott County Park, Glynns Creek Golf Course, Cody Homestead and/or Pioneer Village Apothecary Shop.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides direct customer service in the food and/or merchandise concession areas of the park system; handles cash and balances cash drawer; may be required to participate in food preparation.
Adheres to health standards and safe, sanitary work conditions; reports potential hazards to supervisor.
Provides appropriate information to the public in a customer-friendly manner.
Performs light cleaning duties to include washing dishes, wiping down counters and tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning of equipment.
Performs other custodial duties as needed, to include cleaning restrooms and/or bathhouses daily; picks up litter and trash around the grounds and parking lots, cleans sinks, shower stalls, toilets and floors at the various locations.
May provide light grounds keeping functions or maintenance duties as assigned.
Demonstrates the ability to exemplify, by his/her actions, the County PRIDE philosophy.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
Some previous food service or customer service experience is preferred.
Knowledge of:
Applicable local, State, and Federal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances.
Cash handling practices.
Balancing a cash drawer.
Customer service principles, practices, and etiquette.
Work safety practices.
Sanitary food preparation practices and standards.
Skill in:
Completing basic mathematic calculations.
Interacting tactfully and professionally with County staff and the public.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
License and Certification Requirements
None.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Work is performed primarily indoors and may require some exposure to food preparation and service equipment.
