The mission of the workshop is to create birders across Iowa, that contribute knowledge about birds through participation in Citizen Science programs such as Christmas Bird Counts, Great Backyard Bird Counts, Project Feeder Watch, etc. This workshop will be conducted by Kelly McKay (BioEco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County Conservation), Brian Ritter & James Wiebler (Nahant Marsh Ed. Center). Funding for this workshop was provided by the Resource Enhancement and Protection - Conservation Education Program (REAP-CEP).

Session 1: 9:00 am - 10:30 pm ~ "Diurnal Raptors of Iowa" presentation
Session 2: 10:45 am - 12:15 pm ~ "Nocturnal Raptors of Iowa" presentation
Lunch Break: 12:15 - 1:15 pm (Bring your own)
Session 3: 1:15 pm - 3:00 pm ~ Bird Hike Concentrating on Raptors at the Wapsi Center
