MEDIA RELEASE: Administrative Recount

Davenport – Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins shares there will be an Administrative Recount for the November 8, 2022 General Election. “My job is to audit the numbers and ensure 100% accurate results. If there is any question, I believe a recount is necessary.” 

I am requesting an Administrative Recount of the Absentee and Special Voters Precinct ballots. While conducting an internal audit, my staff determined the numbers do not reconcile. At this time, the discrepancy is 2% (470 ballots) of the total Absentee and Special Voters Precinct ballots. Therefore, to ensure accurate results, I would like to conduct an Administrative Recount.

This shall take place on Tuesday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the Scott County Administrative Building.
