Simply hold the back of your phone close to designated spot on checkout machine to transmit your credit card payment.

HOW SAFE IS IT?

Apple Pay and Google Pay, two common branded smartphone apps, are safe forms of encrypted payment, having some security advantages over swiping a physical credit card.

Credit card, if lost or stolen has your data on it. On your phone, your digital wallet can’t be accessed unless phone is unlocked via pin, face id or fingerprint.

IS IT TRICKY TO SET UP?

Most phones have Apple Pay or Google Pay, preinstalled and setting up contactless payment only takes a few minutes.

IPhone-go to settings, tap “Wallet & Apple Pay”, add card information.

Android –search for Google Play in apps, if not preinstalled, download app from Google Play store,

sign in, add payment method.
