FSS Monday Tidbit - Clean Gutters Before Winter

Guy on ladder cleaning gutters.

Fall is the time to inspect and maintain your home gutters before Jack Frost sets up camp in our area. Gutters keep water away from the walls and foundation of your home in order to keep it dry and sturdy. But clogged or broken gutters can cause even more complicated problems than a leaking foundation or mold buildup. Water damage is even more of a threat during the winter months, because of snow runoff and ice buildup. The weight of snow and ice can do a number on your gutters, causing cracks that render the runoff system useless.
