Policy Update

The following policy was approved by the Board on 10/20/2016:

Human Resources Policy P "Insurance and Deferred Compensation" changes the policy so that the Healthy Lifestyles program for non-rep staff mirror's the language in union contracts. It eliminates the biennial testing for cotinine (presence of nicotine products). It is possible we'll reinstate this in the future depending on how it is addressed with union groups. Also as we prepare for open enrollment it adds language requiring employees married to other county employees to contribute toward the cost of family coverage. Impacted employees have been notified. These policy changes will not be implemented until January 1, 2017.
