Recently married, or getting married soon?  Be sure to give the Social Secuirty Administration your new name! 

For many people, a wedding often means a name change is in order.  If you are legally changing your name, you need to apply for a replacement Social Security card reflecting your new name.  Make the change as soon as possible, so you don't experience delays in getting your benefits and the amount that is correct based on your life's earnings.  Be sure to also tell your Human Resources department to ensure all benefit information is updated with your new name.
