The following General and HR Policy updates were approved by the Board of Supervisors at the February 27, 2025 Board meeting:
Human Resources Policy T “Travel Regulations” updates reflect the acceptance of digital signatures and approvals of travel form submissions. Additionally, explanation of why travel insurance should not be purchased, mileage calculation, and the use of county associated accounts for “Travel Rewards” programs are included.
Human Resources Policy V “Employee Recognition” includes PRN and Standby positions as eligible for years of service recognition and employee of the quarter nominations. Minor changes to the employee of the quarter program include reducing nomination pool timeframe from one year to six months, adding MEDIC EMS to the selection committee group, and clarifying that selection committee members may not submit nominations while serving.
General Policy 12 “Risk Management Claims Processing” changes includes a new workflow for processing Risk Management Claims developed to process claims through the Auditor’s Office and the County ERP system. This efficiency process eliminates additional re-work by three departments and improves monthly reporting and bank reconciliation. Also updated to reflect the County’s $25,000 departmental purchasing policy.
General Policy 26 “ Purchasing Card” is updated to include the same language regarding travel insurance and travel rewards as in the Travel Regulations policy.
