Workshop Aims to Encourage Businesses to Donate More Food: Are you a food establishment or retail food store that wants to donate food, but don’t know where to start? Learn how at the free Food Rescue Workshop on October 20 at the Quad Cities Food Hub.
The workshop is hosted by the Food Rescue Partnership, a community-focused coalition committed to rescuing food throughout the Quad Cities that would otherwise by thrown away.
Panel discussions and poster sessions will teach food establishments how to get started, explain how to develop policies and procedures, share ideas to motivate staff, help inform leaders where to donate, and provide a food donation starter kit. Food establishments are invited to attend the free workshop on October 20th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm!
