2016 Advanced Refresher Course

Co-Sponsored with MEDIC EMS & Eastern Iowa Community Colleges

The EMS Refresher Course is designed to provide current information helpful in providing quality patient care in the emergency medical service setting. The content of the course is based upon the 2000 Department of Transportation National Standard EMT-Paramedic Refresher Curriculum. Completion of this entire program will satisfy all 48 Hours of Section 1A Paramedic Refresher training required for recertification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Course content has also been structured to satisfy all formal State of Iowa core curriculum, continuing education requirements.

Registrants may choose to complete all or part of the program. Although this course has been specifically designed to satisfy the requirements for National Standard Paramedic Refresher training, continuing education will be awarded to all levels of certified/licensed EMS Providers in the states of Iowa and Illinois.
