Mississippi River Flooding – Flood Donation Center
The Salvation Army will open a Flood Donation Center on Friday, May 10, 2019. The Flood Donation Center will be a location for individuals to donate items, and to receive items. The Flood Donation Center will serve residents of Scott and Rock Island Counties. The location is at the former Office Max building near North Park Mall, 320 West Kimberly Road in Davenport.
Those impacted by the flood, or wanting to donate needed items, can visit the location between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Friday, May 10th or Saturday, May 11th. The Flood Donation Center will continue to be open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM through at least the end of May. Currently, flood clean up kits and water are available for those impacted by the flood for pick up. A valid Driver's License or State Issued ID is needed to pick up items.
At this time, the Flood Donation Center will accept the following items needed for flood recovery:
1. Dehumidifiers
2. Fans
3. Tools for building repair
4. Cleaning supplies and tools
5. Personal protective equipment such as work gloves, nitrile gloves, work masks, and eye protection
6. Unopened bottles of bleach
At this time the Salvation Army will not be accepting clothing, food or household goods.
Individuals needing flood clean up kits or water before Friday, can pick them up at either Salvation Army location.
